Project Phase 1: Clarify facts, eliminate insecurities and create business ideas
A web strategy and an editing concept lay the foundations for a detailed system specification. And in particular for the success of the project.
Why do you have a website? What are the benefits you offer? What is the content you offer? Why? How do you present it? What are the technical functions you require?
Once these questions have been answered, we are able to start preparing a detailed functional specification. Are there any more open queries right now? Then together we can formulate 3 central concept documents.
From strategy to specification
- Web strategy: The higher plan – objectives, embedding in the overall strategy, actual analysis, the business concept and the most important requirements
- Editorial concept: Presenting the exact contents properly – editorial containers, traffic management, interaction, and quality assurance
- Functional specification: A creative solution which meets the needs of the medium and is a detailed description of the presentation, including its technical requirements.
One of getunik's senior consultants is about to develop sustainable basics in a workshop with our Designer.
The larger meaning of concept
A good CD-rom is more than just a plastic disk. A successful website is alive not only because of the software. The success always depends on a strong concept. We have learnt this from our experience of handling about 1,000 projects.
Step by step towards success
The web strategy and the editing concepts comprise analyses, objectives, target group requirements. They describe both content and technical requirements. In the following step, these have to be consolidated into a detailed specification document for the programmer.
